Chapter Overview

Deltarune Chapter 5, titled Festival Day, was released on June 24, 2026. It begins at the school festival and quickly moves into a new Dark World born from Asgore's Flower King flower shop. The chapter is set in the Flower Kingdom, where talking flowers have built a castle and society around their longing to make Asgore happy.

The School Festival

The chapter opens with the Hometown school festival. Kris and Susie explore the stalls, interact with classmates, and eventually find their way to Asgore's flower shop truck. When the Dark Fountain opens inside the truck, the party is pulled into the Flower Kingdom.

After a brief stay in Castle Town, the group enters the new Dark World proper.

The Flower Kingdom

The Flower Kingdom is a colorful, vertical world of vines, flowers, and castle architecture. The party meets the 7 Colored Flowers, each with a distinct personality tied to a color. The chapter mixes platforming, puzzles, and combat.

Key areas:

• Cliffs: An early area with a shop run by Pink. This shop sells the Mystery Key needed for the secret boss.
• Flower Castle: The main dungeon of the chapter, filled with puzzles, hidden foxes, and platforming challenges.
• Green's Café and Shop: A rest point near the top of the castle.

Pink Coin Locations

To fight the secret boss, you need 10 Pink Coins to buy the Mystery Key from the Cliffs shop. There are 19 Pink Coins total in the chapter, giving you plenty of room to miss a few. They are typically found in chests behind puzzles, platforming challenges, and secret rooms.

Notable locations include:

• Near the locked pink door itself, reached by dropping into a side pit.
• Above the shrine where you find the Petal Feather.
• Behind platforming sections launched from Green's Shop.
• Inside the secret Fox Room above Green's Café (requires finding all hidden foxes).
• At the end of the Neskie Climb running section.
• Behind windmill and Hookflower platforming in the Cliffs.

Prioritize exploring side rooms and completing optional encounters as you progress; most Pink Coins are rewards for going off the main path.

Final Boss: Flowery

The Chapter 5 final boss is Flowery, the golden flower. The fight combines the chapter's platforming mechanics with bullet-hell combat. Stay mobile, learn the attack patterns, and use your strongest party attacks during openings.

Secret Boss: Mad Mew Mew (Pink)

The Chapter 5 secret boss is Pink, also known as Mad Mew Mew — a ghost possessing a Mew Mew Kissy Cutie doll that became a Darkner in the Flower Kingdom. This is the final Shadow Crystal boss of the currently released chapters.

To unlock the fight:

1. Collect 10 Pink Coins throughout the chapter.
2. Buy the Mystery Key from the Cliffs shop.
3. Near the top of Flower Castle, head left instead of toward the fountain. Ralsei will note you are going the wrong way.
4. Drop into the pit and follow the path to the locked pink door.
5. Use the Mystery Key to enter and face Pink.

The Pink fight is unique: standard attacks deal no damage. Instead, you must use the Flirt command and MegaFlirt (spending TP) to fill a "Doki" meter. The battle uses the Purple Soul Mode, restricting your movement to straight lines. Collect pink hearts during attacks to restore TP and HP.

Defeating Pink rewards the Chapter 5 Shadow Crystal and unlocks the 7 Colored Flowers' hidden room.

Routes in Chapter 5

Chapter 5 has three important paths:

• Normal Route: The main story path through the festival, Flower Kingdom, Flower Castle, and Flowery boss.
• Secret Boss Route: The optional path to collect Pink Coins, buy the Mystery Key, and fight Mad Mew Mew.
• Weird Route: Only continues if you already reached the required Weird Route state in Chapter 4. This route skips part of the Dark World and follows an alternate Noelle-focused path.
